IAS provides oversight and documented controls for methods employed for the evaluation of:

Quality management systems to the ISO 9001:2000 requirements

Environmental management systems to the ISO 14001:2004 requirements.

This oversight is provided exclusively for individuals who voluntarily comply with published methods for quality and environmental program evaluations. Accreditation is made available directly to the quality professional.

Operating much like a Senate Oversight Committees, IAS provides guidelines for accreditation. IAS accreditation allows qualified quality professionals to verify the compliance of an organizations quality management system to the ISO guidelines and authority to provide the organization with an IAS accredited ISO compliance certificate.

ISO certification is the process of formally recognizing the organizations voluntary compliance to the ISO quality management system requirements.

IAS accreditation provides a reputable vehicle for qualified individuals to formally recognize organizations processed based quality programs.

IAS is a third party accreditation service. Such services provide affordable options to organizations seeking formal evaluation and compliance to the ISO quality management systems guidelines.

Accreditation by an independent authority means that when you choose an accredited professional to review your activities you are choosing someone whose qualifications have been reviewed and who employ a standardized method of quality management system evaluation. You know accreditation by IAS has provided a level of assurance and resource that is not normally available to business.

Accreditation benefits include:

  • Knowing that the Accredited Quality Professional has verified their qualifications to adequately assess your organizations quality and/or environmental program.

  • Activities are constantly monitored.

  • Having recourse to a higher level of authority if needed to resolve disputes.

  • Knowing that assessment activity complies with defined procedures that are continually reviewed.

  • Knowing that you have a balanced level of service that does not compromise your business operations.

  • The ability to provide verification to interested parties that your quality and/or management system has been assessed to the ISO guidelines.

Key Functions of IAS:

  • Accreditation of Competent Quality Professionals
  • Provision of technical support regarding the intent and common interpretation of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004.
  • Provision of resources regarding acceptable audit practices.
  • The issue of IAS accredited quality certificates to qualifying organizations.
